Full job description

Job Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Bishops Stortford
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary/Rate: Annual Salary

Role Conditions

Working Monday to Thursday, 08:30 – 17:00 & Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
Overtime paid at 1.5 times hourly rate
29 days holiday including bank holidays

About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Financial Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Developing and supporting the cost accounting systems and processes
Preparing, evaluating and analysing product costing’s
Costing of materials purchased
Reconcile the monthly movement held within stock system
Monthly monitoring of bills of material and inventory movements
Cost analysis of manufacturing process
Analysis of profit margin and involvement in the setting of prices
Analysing organisational data and assessing rates of labour
Reviewing hourly rates achieved against expectations
Implementing new cost saving efficiencies and maximising profitability
Liaise with production team to discuss actual manufacturing performance and accuracy of data
Preparing monthly and quarterly reports for senior management
Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements
Prepare general ledger postings and statements
Management of cashbooks including monthly reconciliation and journal posting
Provide assistance during the companies’ implementation of a new ERP system

Candidate Requirements

Experience of the manufacturing industry desirable
Qualified or part qualified AAT
Previous accounting experience is essential
Right to work in the UK
