Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiters and Waitresses to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver exceptional guest service in a lively restaurant environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring a memorable dining experience through attentive service, efficient food delivery, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Prior experience in a similar setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Applicants should possess a friendly demeanour, strong organisational skills, and a passion for hospitality.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
Provide excellent guest service by addressing questions and resolving issues courteously
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Ensure all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, are adhered to at all times
Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Process payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash transactions responsibly
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout shifts

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques
Basic maths skills for handling bills and cash transactions
Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is desirable
Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables simultaneously
Previous culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential; willingness to learn is key
