We are seeking a highly organised and professional Personal Assistant/Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative support within a busy legal practice. Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining the legal professionals’ schedules, appointments, and meetings efficiently
- Drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy
- Performing audio typing of legal dictations swiftly and precisely
- Organising files, case documents, and other administrative records in accordance with firm procedures
- Handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence with professionalism and discretion
- Utilising Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) to prepare presentations, spreadsheets, and correspondence
- Assisting with client liaison and ensuring timely communication between parties
- Managing IT systems related to case management software and other digital tools
- Prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality
Skills
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or legal secretary with strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in audio typing and fast, accurate typing skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software systems quickly
- Exceptional time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Attention to detail in document preparation and record keeping
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a professional environment
