Teacher of Mathematics (SEN)

Location: Totton
Salary: Main Pay Scale / UPS (£36,413 – £50,474 DOE)
Employment Type: Full-Time - TTO
Education Setting: Specialist SEN Provision

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join a thriving Mathematics Department within a specialist SEN education setting.

You will work with learners from Year 7 to Year 11, delivering engaging, accessible lessons that build confidence, resilience, and a genuine belief in their ability to succeed in maths.

You will be part of a supportive, collaborative team that is committed to making a real difference for every learner, regardless of their starting point.

What you’ll be doing

Planning and delivering engaging, accessible Maths lessons aligned to the national curriculum
Supporting learners with a range of SEN and additional needs
Differentiating learning to ensure all students can access and succeed in Maths
Creating a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
Working collaboratively with colleagues to improve outcomes and share best practice
Maintaining high expectations for all learners

What we’re looking for

Ability to make Maths engaging, accessible, and relevant
Experience or strong interest in supporting SEN learners
A collaborative, team-focused approach
Commitment to high standards for both teaching and learning
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
