Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Full Time Hotel Receptionist/General Assistant to join our welcoming team. This role is vital in ensuring guests receive exceptional service from arrival to departure, contributing to a positive and memorable stay. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and a proactive approach to guest services. Previous experience in hospitality is advantageous but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications via the booking system with accuracy.
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience.
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy.
Maintain the reception area in a tidy and organised manner at all times.
Support our food and beverage department including assisting with food and bar service.
Ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures, including health and safety standards.

Skills

Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills in both written and verbal form.
Prior experience in hotel reception or hospitality roles is preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Friendly, approachable manner with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.
Proficient computer skills including familiarity with reservation systems
Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods or challenging situations. This position offers an engaging environment where your interpersonal skills can shine while delivering outstanding service to our guests. We value professionalism, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude in all team members committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all of our guests.
This is a live out position as we do not have live in accommodation.

Pay: £12.80-£12.90 per hour
