Full job description

Maintenance Manager – Windermere Manor Hotel

Windermere Manor Hotel is a charming 35-room property nestled in the heart of the Lake District, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Manager to take charge of all maintenance operations across our facilities, which include a historic manor house, an annexe cottage, a swimming pool, and a bar and restaurant. This is a full-time position with a salary up to £33,000 per year d.o.e. plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment and infrastructure
Oversee and coordinate repairs, refurbishments, and new installations
Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment required for maintenance tasks
Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and regulations
Work closely with other departments to address maintenance concerns promptly
Liaise with the central Property Manager at Starboard Hotels, our parent company

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in a maintenance role, ideally within hospitality or hotel operations
A good all-rounder with hands-on skills across a range of general maintenance and DIY tasks
Solid understanding of building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Knowledge of health and safety compliance
