We supply and manage vending solutions for businesses across London and the South East, offering a wide range of hot drinks, cold drinks, and snack machines. We are a growing, entrepreneurial business with a hands-on team.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and organised Credit Controller to join our finance team on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for managing the company’s debtor ledger, chasing overdue invoices, and supporting the wider finance function. This is an important role in maintaining healthy cash flow across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the accounts receivable ledger
- Chase outstanding invoices by phone, email, and letter in line with company credit terms
- Allocate incoming payments accurately and promptly
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing queries or disputes
- Produce regular aged debtor reports and flag risk accounts to management
- Liaise with the sales team to resolve customer queries efficiently
- Process credit applications and conduct credit checks on new accounts
- Escalate accounts to legal proceedings or debt collection agencies where necessary
- Support month-end close processes as required
- Assist with general finance administration as needed
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role
- Strong telephone manner with confidence making outbound calls to customers — including chasing overdue accounts
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software (essential)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Accurate and detail-oriented with strong numeracy skills
- Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and calmly
- Previous experience in a B2B environment preferred
