Surf Bay Leisure are an independent family run business who supply new and used caravan and lodge holiday homes to a vast array of destinations. Our customer base stretches from individuals looking to do a self build and in need of temporary accommodation right through to large commercial holiday parks with hundreds of holiday caravans on site. We work with 3 of the leading holiday home manufactures ABI, Victory and Swift, who between them have an outstanding product lineup ranging from super cool and innovative glamping pods right through to some of the very best twin unit lodges available in the market.
Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Sales Advisor to join our sales team to help manage the retail sector of our business. This role is a continuation of Surf Bay’s expansion within the Holiday sector and push towards creating the best possible service for our customers.
This will be based at our busy sales centre in Winkleigh, Devon where you will be part of the showroom team selling new and used caravans and lodges to a variety of customer types. This can range from owners looking to put a pre-owned holiday home on their own private land through to customers looking to purchase holiday homes on some of the Southwest’s finest destinations, We are very lucky to work with 3 of the leading manufactures in the industry, who offer the very best products available in our industry.
Part of this role will also carry a responsibility of account management for a small number of our key customers. These are holiday parks spread across the Devon and Cornwall area who are established holiday parks with plenty of sales opportunities. You will need to help generate new leads, demonstrate new product and nurture them and their caravan owners through the holiday home ownership journey. This will also include visiting various holiday parks in the above areas, from time to time.

Within the role we are offering, you will gain experience and an understanding of the sales process that is unique to our industry, be able to adapt and understand customer needs and be able to advise accordingly and eventually have an in-depth knowledge of our customers holiday parks and what they have to offer. You will also be required to maintain an in-depth knowledge of our products and related processes.
Do not worry if this all sounds very daunting as full training will be given.
Our customers rely on trust and transparency to continue the relationships we have built up over many years of being the biggest Holiday Home supplier in the country so experience in sales is not compulsory but you do need to be able to demonstrate, confidence and have the ability to understand each customers individual needs and advise accordingly.
Key Objectives
- Look after and record each sales opportunity on our systems.
- Make sure all demonstration stock and office are always kept clean and tidy and maintain point of sale.
- Maintain contact with our trade customers with updates on new customer enquiries and new models.
- Perform website and social media information updates.
- Carry out video walkthrough of our products.
- Build and maintain long standing relationships with both Trade and retail customers.

- Languages- must be fluent in English and be able to write competently.

- Have a good eye for figures, and fluent in general business acumen, neither are essential but will learn the role quicker.
Hours of work are Full Time: 9:00am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday and 10:00am till 4:00pm every other Saturdays. A day off during the week will be offered for working the Saturday. Cover for Bank holidays will be shared amongst the team.
Flexibility will be required around busier times of the year and during our trade shows.
We are offering a basic salary of £24,984 subject to experience with an attractive commission/bonus scheme package on top. Expected OTE would be approximately £37,000 to £40,000, uncapped. As part of the package we offer free or reduced holidays on our own Parks across Devon and Cornwall.
We also require you to have a full driving licence.
