Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a leadership role within a dynamic and supportive Adult Social Care team? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Team Leader - Occupational Therapist to work alongside our dedicated group of OT's to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to our local community.

About the Role

As Team Leader - Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for:

Leading and supporting a team of Occupational Therapists to ensure the effective delivery of assessment and intervention services
Working collaboratively with the Locality Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Adult Social Care service
Overseeing the allocation of referrals and ensuring timely and appropriate responses to individuals' needs
Providing expert advice and guidance to both colleagues and service users
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and professional guidelines

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist
Significant post-registration experience in an Occupational Therapy role, ideally within a social care setting
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership position, demonstrating the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to manage complex cases
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, service users, and external stakeholders
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practice in relation to Occupational Therapy and social care
