The Woodborough Inn are recruiting a Head Chef.
The Woodborough Inn has, for many years, held a reputation for fantastic pub food and we are searching for an enthusiastic head chef to lead our hard working kitchen team and to take on the responsibility of continuing this tradition.
Strong kitchen management is essential in ensuring the workplace is a safe, fun and exciting place to be, and the successful candidate will need to lead from the front whilst working to budgets and maintaining the efficiency of the business.
While leading the kitchen team you will oversee all aspects of the food operation, developing the menu to suit the seasons and keep our customers interested, whilst also keeping on top of our regularly changing daily specials board.
The highest standards of food safety and health & safety compliance are expected and you will be responsible in ensuring all kitchen staff follow your lead.
Working closely with the General Manager together you will advise on food operations, events and bookings in order to maintain an excellent customer experience. A positive and upbeat attitude is expected at all times.
Responsibilities & what is expected:
· Ensure cooking standards remain high ensuring repeat custom.
· Menu development & daily specials.
· Manage kitchen staff rotas.
· All aspects of running a busy, happy, motivated kitchen.
· Deliver excellent financial performance in line with budgets.
· Ensure your kitchen team maintain an impeccable relationship with all other departments.
· Calm & professional manner.
· Actively develop all chefs to ensure excellent standards.
· Always be H+S and food safety compliant and follow all procedures and policies in every aspect
· Ensure excellent communication with front of house team to aid in overall smooth service
· Undertaking any reasonable management requests

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
