Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Woodstock, Oxfordshire (working across various sites throughout Oxfordshire)
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our knowledgeable and professional team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering an excellent rate of pay, a comprehensive benefits package, and earnings well above the industry average.
About the Role
Based in Woodstock, you will travel to a variety of sites across Oxfordshire as part of a two- or three-person team. The successful candidate will lead the team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest possible standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organise the daily workload across multiple sites.
- Liaise professionally with clients and site representatives.
- Deliver high-quality grounds maintenance services.
- Set up, operate, and maintain ride-on cylinder mowers and rotary mowers.
- Carry out general grounds maintenance duties, including:
- Hedge cutting
- Leaf collection
- Weed spraying
- Flower and shrub bed maintenance
- Grass cutting and general landscape upkeep
- Undertake additional grounds maintenance tasks as required.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance.
- Experience setting up and operating ride-on cylinder and rotary mowers.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to tow a trailer.
- Valid PA1/PA6 spraying licence (desirable ).
- DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a small team.
Desirable Skills
- Additional horticultural or landscaping qualifications.
