Due to continued growth, we are looking for an organised sales administrator to join our team.
The Role
This role sits at the centre of our internal sales and administration function. You will support the Sales Office Supervisor with processing sales orders, preparing customer quotations, and carrying out a range of general office administration duties.
The role is office-based and involves processing customer purchase orders through our ERP system, printing and preparing relevant documentation, providing proof of delivery (POD) information when requested, assisting with order fulfilment, and handling customer enquiries via telephone and email. Once fully trained, you will also assist with preparing customer quotations.
This is a busy and important role where accuracy, responsiveness, communication, and strong customer relationships are essential. While the position includes some repetitive administrative tasks and occasional quieter periods, these responsibilities are critical to the smooth and efficient running of the business.
Key Responsibilities
· Inputting and processing customer sales orders.
· Making amends including product changes and date changes to customer orders when requested
· Preparing quotations for customers
· Handling customer enquiries by phone and email.
· Providing high levels of communication and customer service
· Assisting the external sales team with any admin related tasks
· Fulfilling orders in the ERP system when required to assist the operations team
· Liaising with carriers regarding proof of delivery, delivery queries and non-delivery issues.
· Identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities at the point of order (once product trained)
· Performing any other reasonable duties required for the proper performance of the role.
The Person We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is driven, organised and motivated to learn. Full product training will be provided to ensure you can raise orders and answer any customer queries with confidence.
You must be comfortable speaking to customers, picking up the phone, working with detail, learning new systems and managing repetitive but important administrative tasks accurately.
The right person will be:
· Confident speaking to customers by phone and email.
· A strong communicator with a professional and positive approach.
· Accurate, organised and detail-focused.
· IT confident, particularly with Outlook, Excel and general system use.
· Able to learn ERP and CRM systems quickly.
· Comfortable working at pace in a busy office environment.
· Proactive, responsible and willing to take ownership.
· A quick learner who asks questions and follows tasks through properly.
· Resilient, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision once trained.
· A team player with a positive attitude and good sense of humour.
Previous experience in sales administration, internal sales, customer service, manufacturing, distribution, construction products or technical products would be beneficial, but not required.

Salary, Bonus & Benefits
· Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience and suitability.
· Bonus: Up to 10% annual bonus based on agreed company and individual KPIs.
· Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30, Friday 08:00 - 14:00.
· Annual leave: 25 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays.
