Full job description

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Commercial Coordinator / Estimator to join our team. This is a client-facing role responsible for managing commercial enquiries from first contact through to quote and handover to operations.

You will take ownership of incoming enquiries, prepare quotes, communicate with clients and support the smooth running of the commercial pipeline. The role also requires the ability to problem solve day-to-day issues, make decisions within guidelines, and keep work progressing without constant escalation.

Responsibilities

Handle incoming calls, emails and commercial enquiries
Log and manage all leads within CRM (BigChange or similar)
Assess and qualify jobs, ensuring correct allocation (commercial vs residential)
Prepare and issue quotes using agreed pricing structures and templates
Follow up quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed work
Act as the first point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and professional communication
Liaise with operations to hand over confirmed jobs with complete and accurate information
Resolve day-to-day issues and queries, using judgement and problem-solving skills
Maintain accurate and organised records of enquiries, quotes and jobs
Support general commercial administration and reporting
Identify and suggest improvements to processes where needed

Requirements

Previous experience in estimating, sales coordination or similar office-based role (construction, drainage, utilities or trades preferred)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident communicator with good client-facing skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload
Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently
Experience using CRM systems (BigChange beneficial but not essential)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
