Full job description

Do you have experience managing housing support services and leading teams to make a positive difference for customers? As a Service Manager, you’ll lead the daily running of a specialist housing service, ensuring customers receive the right support while meeting required standards. You’ll work with colleagues, partners and customers to deliver a safe, effective service.

Salary: £43,310.63 per year

Contract: Permanent, full time

Your week: 36.25 hours - Monday to Friday 9am to 5.15pm

Location: Wisbech HRS Scheme

Snapshot of your role

Manage the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring legal, regulatory and contract requirements are met.
Make sure customers receive high-quality, person-centred support that meets their needs and helps promote independence and wellbeing.
Work with commissioners, partner agencies and internal teams to deliver effective services and support continuous improvement.
Oversee customer referrals, assessments, support plans, risk management and safeguarding processes in line with policies and procedures.
Lead and support colleagues through induction, supervision, development and performance management to help them deliver great services.
Monitor budgets, spending, rent accounts and financial processes while following Amplius policies and helping to maximise income.
Manage the scheme environment, including health and safety checks, repairs, planned works, risk assessments and housing management responsibilities.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role

A good level of education, particularly in maths and literacy.
Knowledge of housing support services, particularly around homelessness.
An understanding of regulatory standards, professional boundaries and good practice.
Experience of working with partners and organising multi-agency meetings.
Knowledge of managing anti-social behaviour and Positive Behaviour Support.
Understanding of basic building maintenance and health and safety requirements.
Strong communication, organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
The ability to lead, support and motivate teams through coaching, guidance and effective teamwork.
