Full job description

We're looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our firm and become a key member of our payroll team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building client relationships, takes pride in delivering an accurate and efficient payroll service, and is looking to work within a supportive and professional environment.

What you'll be doing

Managing a portfolio of client payrolls.
Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
Handling starters, leavers, statutory payments and pension submissions.
Managing submissions and ensuring compliance with payroll legislation.
Responding to client queries and providing payroll support.
Building strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact.
Working collaboratively with the payroll team and reporting to the payroll manager.

What we're looking for

Previous payroll experience ideally within an accountancy practice.
Strong working knowledge of BrightPay.
Experience working as part of a payroll team.
A good understanding of payroll legislation, auto-enrolment and HMRC requirements.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive and client-focused approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

Pay: £24,420.00-£41,094.22 per year
