Job Overview
MONIT Limited is seeking a skilled and motivated System Engineer to support the delivery of IT consultancy services to clients across the UK. The successful candidate will work closely with prospective and existing client companies to understand their IT requirements, provide technical support, assist with proposals, and contribute to the design, maintenance and implementation of IT systems.
The System Engineer will be responsible for:
- Coordinating with prospective and existing client companies to understand their IT needs and business requirements.
- Assisting with the preparation of technical proposals, solution documents and client recommendations.
- Supporting new business opportunities by providing technical input during client discussions.
- Designing, maintaining and supporting IT systems for MONIT Limited and its clients.
- Troubleshooting technical issues relating to systems, networks, hardware, software and user environments.
- Supporting IT implementation projects, including planning, configuration, deployment and post-implementation support.
- Providing systems engineering support across client environments.
- Monitoring system performance, identifying issues and recommending improvements.
- Supporting the delivery of IT consultancy services to clients across the UK.
- Maintaining accurate technical documentation, reports and records.
- Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues and senior management.
Qualifications Required
Applicants should have relevant IT experience and/or suitable technical qualifications. The following qualifications are desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cyber Security or a related technical discipline; or
- Equivalent professional experience in IT systems support, systems administration, infrastructure support or IT consultancy.
Professional certifications would be beneficial, including one or more of the following:
- CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator or Endpoint Administrator.
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
- ITIL Foundation.
- Relevant vendor certifications in cloud, networking, security, systems administration or infrastructure support.

Working Hours
The normal working hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility may be required from time to time to support client projects, implementation work or urgent technical issues.
Salary
The salary for this role is £46,100 gross per annum.
