Full job description

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced finance professional to join us and take ownership of all our day-to-day accounting and compliance needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, values autonomy, and wants to be an integral part of a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple limited companies using Xero
Collating, processing, and reconciling invoices from all hotel operations
Bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate ledgers
Preparing and filing quarterly VAT returns for all entities
Preparing year-end accounts and liaising with external auditors or reviewers as required
Preparing and filing Corporation Tax returns (CT600s)
Producing regular management accounts and financial summaries for the directors
Identifying process improvements to make our finance function more efficient as we grow

Skills

Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience, ideally across multiple entities or companies
Strong, hands-on working knowledge of Xero
Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns via HMRC Making Tax Digital
Experience preparing year-end accounts and CT600 Corporation Tax returns
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to manage your own workload and work independently
Excellent communication skills — confident dealing directly with directors and managers

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
