Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator who can also support with general maintenance tasks when required. While the majority of your time will be focused on painting and decorating, this is a varied role suited to someone practical, adaptable, and confident turning their hand to a range of smaller repair jobs.
Key Responsibilities
Painting and decorating:
- Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, and priming
- Internal and external painting to a high standard
- Wallpaper hanging and removal
- Touch-up works between tenancies
- Full property redecoration projects
General maintenance support:
- Fitting and replacing toilet seats
- Changing taps and basic plumbing fixtures
- Replacing window handles and minor window adjustments
- Hanging doors or adjusting hinges
- Fitting shelves, curtain poles, and fixtures
- Silicone sealing in kitchens and bathrooms
- Basic patch repairs to walls and ceilings
- Replacing light fittings and switches, non-certified works
- Minor carpentry repairs
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in painting and decorating
- Good all-round handyman or maintenance skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Own vehicle
- Must be able to travel between multiple properties daily
- Must be registered under the CIS scheme
