Workshop Assistant – Foiling & Embossing Tooling
Full-time, Witham, Essex.
We are a small, specialist business supplying the packaging industry with high-quality foiling and embossing dies. Our products include:
· Silicone rubber foiling dies
· Etched magnesium dies
· Brass and aluminium embossing and foiling dies produced on CNC machines
· Jigs and other bespoke tooling
We are looking for a practical, hands-on Workshop Assistant to join our team and learn all aspects of our production process. This is a varied role within a small business, offering the chance to gain experience in techniques such as acid etching, moulding, cutting, CNC machining, and general workshop practices.
The Role:
· Assisting in the production of foiling and embossing dies
· Learning acid etching, moulding, cutting, and CNC machine operation
· Supporting general workshop duties and tool preparation
· Working flexibly across different stages of production as required
About You:
· Practical and confident with hands-on work
· Careful and detail-oriented
· Intelligent and eager to learn new skills
· Flexible and adaptable to a busy small-business environment
· Any previous experience in metalworking or related workshop skills will be a bonus
