Join Study Mind – Make a Difference Through 1:1 SEND Tuition
Study Mind has been appointed by a Local Authority Alternative Provision service to deliver specialist 1:1 tuition and mentoring for a Key Stage 3 learner who is currently unable to attend mainstream school due to significant anxiety and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).
The provision is designed to support the learner's gradual re-engagement with education through a highly personalised programme delivered in a calm, community-based setting. Tuition will focus on English, Maths and Science, alongside dedicated mentoring support aimed at developing confidence, emotional wellbeing and readiness for future reintegration into education.
The learner demonstrates strong academic potential, particularly within Maths and Science, and benefits from meaningful, appropriately pitched learning opportunities that maintain confidence whilst reducing barriers to participation. The primary need is emotional rather than academic, requiring a patient, relational approach that prioritises trust, consistency and engagement.
The programme consists of 6 hours per week delivered across three mornings (9am–11am), with flexible days agreed directly with the family. Delivery will take place face-to-face within a suitable community venue and forms part of a wider reintegration pathway coordinated with educational professionals and the local authority.
