Full job description

Are you an experienced SEN / SEND tutor, teacher or education professional looking for rewarding one-to-one work?

Tutor Doctor is looking for compassionate, adaptable and experienced professionals to support children and young people with additional needs.

We have opportunities available for in-person tuition, with new assignments commencing from 1 September 2026.

We are interested in hearing from tutors and education professionals with genuine experience, the right skills and a passion for helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning.

Position is available in Colchester area, Essex, UK.

The Students We Support

Our students may have diagnosed or undiagnosed additional needs, EHCP-related support requirements, school-based anxiety, difficulties engaging with education or other barriers to learning.

Assignments may include support with:

Autism / ASD
ADHD
Dyslexia and literacy difficulties
SEMH needs
Anxiety and school avoidance
Behaviour and confidence-building
EHCP-linked academic intervention
Literacy and numeracy catch-up
Re-engagement with education
Functional Skills
Alternative Provision-style one-to-one tuition
Nurturing educational mentoring
