Well, why not apply to become a Holiday Club Activity Leader with us at Essex Professional Coaching! We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic activity leaders to join our holiday club team to help create unforgettable experiences for children aged 4–12.
You’ll lead activities, organise games, support group sessions and ensure children are safe, engaged and having fun throughout the day.

At Essex Professional Coaching, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to move, learn and grow through play. Each week we support thousands of children across Essex through high-quality physical education, wraparound childcare, holiday camps and football programmes.
During every school holiday, our Ofsted registered holiday camps provide a safe, exciting environment where children can stay active, make new friends and create lifelong memories, giving parents peace of mind while their children have the time of their lives.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Holiday Club Activity Leader, you’ll play a key role in creating an incredible experience at our clubs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering fun activities for children aged 4–12
- Leading games, sports and creative activities throughout the day
- Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for all children
- Ensuring all safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed
- Supporting children's wellbeing and ensuring everyone feels included
- Working as part of a team to continuously improve our clubs
- Helping ensure the daily club timetable runs smoothly
(The role requires flexibility and may include additional responsibilities to support the smooth running of camp.)

What We’re Looking For

- Confident and experienced in leading groups of 10–20 children
- Enthusiastic, energetic and caring
- Passionate about delivering fun and engaging activities
- Reliable with strong time-management skills
- Great communicators with both children and adults
- Team players who support their colleagues
- Adaptable and able to respond to different situations
Skills & Experience
You Must:
- Have experience working with children in a school, childcare or holiday club environment
- Be able to adapt activities for different ages and abilities
- Have an understanding of safeguarding when working with children
Desirable:
- First Aid or Emergency Aid qualification
- Level 2 sports or childcare qualification
- Driving licence and access to transport (able to travel up to 30 minutes)
Our Recruitment Process
After shortlisting, candidates will take part in a two-stage interview process:
Stage 1 – Telephone Interview
A short call to learn more about you and discuss the role.
Stage 2 – Practical Assessment Day
You’ll deliver a fun activity at one of our sessions with a group of children.
Successful candidates will receive a job offer by phone, followed by a full induction and onboarding process.
All roles are subject to satisfactory DBS checks and references.
