Summary
We are seeking a Senior Bid Writer to join our team in Bishops Stortford. This is a key appointment within our growing business, with primary responsibility for leading the development of high-quality, compelling submissions for major public sector construction frameworks and strategic tender opportunities.
Your contributions will directly support our mission to deliver outstanding construction solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and write high-quality bid proposals tailored to client requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather technical information and ensure accuracy.
- Lead the preparation of major framework applications, SQs, ITTs and quality submissions
- Take ownership of strategic framework bids from initial review through to final submission
- Develop strong win themes, differentiators, added value propositions and evidence-led responses
- Lead bid kick-off meetings, storyboarding sessions, mid-bid reviews and final quality reviews
- Coordinate input from Pre-Construction, Estimating, Operations, Commercial, SHEQ, Social Value and external consultants
- Support and mentor other members of the Bid team
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously, meeting deadlines consistently.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
- Support the continuous improvement of bid processes and strategies.
The successful candidate will have:
- Significant experience in construction bid writing and bid management
- Proven experience of major framework applications and framework renewals
- Experience working on high-value, complex, multi-question quality submissions
- Strong understanding of SQ, ITT and framework procurement processes
- Strong, demonstrable experience preparing submissions for public sector construction procurement
- Adequate skills in Microsoft Office applications, such as PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
