Are you passionate about ensuring quality education for vulnerable children? As the Quality Assurance Alternative Provision Lead Officer, you will play a vital role in overseeing the education provided by alternative education and tuition providers commissioned by Nottinghamshire County Council. Your mission will be to confirm compliance with national and local standards, ensuring that every child receives the education they deserve.
In this pivotal role, you will:

Quality Assurance: Assess and ensure the effectiveness of educational safeguarding practices and procedures.

Compliance Confirmation: Verify that providers deliver the promised curriculum and support pupils in achieving recognised qualifications.

Support and Advise: Offer guidance to providers facing challenges and escalate serious concerns to the Local Authority (LA) and Ofsted when necessary.

Data Analysis: Collect and analyse data to prepare reports that inform decision-making and policy development.

Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders to promote best practices in education and safeguarding.
To thrive in this role, you should possess:

A relevant degree level qualification in education or a related field

At least 5 years of experience working in education

Experience of working with vulnerable children.

Strong skills in negotiation, evaluation, and analysis.

Experience in interpreting and applying legislation within a regulatory environment.
