Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and wish to gain valuable experience in the culinary field within a hotel or restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation.
Support the team during busy service periods by assisting with basic cooking tasks as required.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of hygiene at all times.
Participate in regular cleaning schedules to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
Familiarity with hospitality settings such as hotels or restaurants is advantageous.
Basic culinary skills or knowledge of food preparation techniques would be beneficial.
A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment are essential.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service are highly valued.
