Level 2 Beauty Apprenticeships available
We are recruiting on behalf of local salons and spas for Apprentices to work whilst they learn an Introtrain Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy. There is a new course intake starting in September 2026 and are looking at starting apprentices in their salons and spas ready to join our new study group.
Do you want to study Beauty Therapy? Would you like to earn while you learn? If so, a Beauty Therapy Apprenticeship could be the perfect choice for you. Introtain offer Beauty Apprenticeships one day a week in college and you go to work 3-4 days a week. The course is funded by the government so you can train for free regardless of your age! (Government criteria must be met).

Life as an apprentice:
- You will learn all your Level 2 Beauty Treatments one day a week in college for approximately 12 months.
- The rest of the week you will go to work and you’ll earn a wage. You’ll even be paid for your time in college!
- You have the potential to progress to an Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship.
- If you work hard and are a valuable member of your team, you could be employed after your course by the company as a beauty therapist and have a new career.
- We have an exceptionally high rate of employment from our Apprenticeship scheme which is fantastic for future employment. Our OICB graduates always get job offers!
College Course
You will study a full Level 2 VTCT Qualification including the following subjects:
- Manicures & Pedicures
- Facials
- Lash and Brow Tinting
- Brow Shaping
- Lash Extensions
- Waxing
- Makeup
- Body Massage
College lessons are one day a week on a Monday or Tuesday. The rest of the week you will be at work in your salon/spa.
Being an apprentice means that you can gain on the job experience whilst studying and graduate with 1-2 years work experience, excellent education and the best qualifications.
Apprentice details
- Course starts 31st August 2026 and runs for 12 months until entering the exam period.
- In class we will teach you how to have a salon standard appearance and excellent client care. We expect excellent attendance and behavior as you will be representing your company when you come to college.
- You will be required to do homework each week. Lateness and not handing in homework is not acceptable and may result in you not continuing your education at OICB.
- On completion of Level 2, progression can be made onto Level 3 which will take approximately 12 months.
- GCSE requirements – C in English and Maths, if not you will do Functional Skills with Introtrain. We will help arrange this so no need to worry.
Employment Info
- You will be paid for your working hours and your college days. The minimum wage for an apprentice is currently £8 per hour (May 2026). Wages are often higher for over 18s.
- You must be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week, maximum 40 hours per week.
- You will receive the same terms of employment as anyone else within the company, so you are entitled to annual leave, statutory sick pay etc.
- You are paid by your employer to attend college, so these hours must be included in your weekly total hours.
Career progression: You may be eligible to progress onto our Level 3 course following successful completion of your Level 2 course.
Places are limited so we advise all potential apprentices secure a work placement in a salon/spa as soon as they can.
