Full job description

Greenlands Meadow is a brand new Amica Care home, opening to residents soon. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team from the beginning and help create a welcoming, safe and supportive environment.

We are looking for a Senior Maintenance Officer to join our team for 37 hours per week.

Key responsibilities:

Maintain the home, grounds and equipment to a safe, high standard.
Complete safety checks, inspections, servicing and repair works.
Coordinate maintenance tasks and support the Maintenance Officer, contractors and colleagues.
Communicate clearly with residents, colleagues and contractors on repairs and maintenance progress.
Respond to out-of-hours emergency queries when required.
Support stock condition inspections, improvement works and other business needs.

About you:

We are looking for some who:

Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience.
Good knowledge of property maintenance, repairs, health and safety, COSHH and relevant legislation.
Practical skills in areas such as painting, plumbing, basic electrical work and general repairs.
Strong communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
A self-motivated team player with good interpersonal and computer skills.
Flexible approach to working hours and supporting other sites when required.
Commitment to Amica's staff values, equality and diversity.
Full driving licence and access to a car desirable.
Experience working in social care with vulnerable people desirable.
