Are you looking to kick-start your career in accountancy? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, forward-thinking firm and build a long-term career from the ground up.

We are a well-established accountancy firm based in Exeter, with an expanding bookkeeping portfolio. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as an Apprentice, with full support to develop into a fully qualified bookkeeper.

What you can expect

Hands-on experience supporting a wide range of clients
Full training using Xero’s cloud-based accounting software
The opportunity to progress onto more complex work as your skills develop
Paid study leave, with the full cost of your AAT level 3 qualification covered
A clear pathway to long-term career progression within the firm

You will play an important role from day one, working directly with clients to maintain accurate financial records and support their business needs.

About the role

Bookkeeping and VAT returns for a variety of clients
Based at our Exeter office, Pynes Hill
Full-time hours: 37.5 per week (9:00am – 5:00pm)

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is:

Bright, motivated and keen to learn
Organised, reliable and able to manage their workload
Confident communicating with clients
Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
Highly detail-focused, with a strong commitment to accuracy

Entry requirements

Minimum of 8 GCSEs at Grade 5 (C) or above
Maths and English at Grade 6 (B) or above
Equivalent qualifications will be considered

Salary & benefits

Starting salary: £17,000
Regular pay reviews every 6 months
Company pension
Cycle to work scheme

Pay: £17,000.00 per year
