This course is designed for building control administrative staff dealing with the building control function on a day to day basis. This qualification develops the learner’s knowledge and skills to process the workload of the building control team correctly in line with statutory timescales, delivery and performance standards. Students will also understand the importance of their role and how information is conveyed to users of the service.
The successful candidate will be supported in their studies by the Council.
You will be an enthusiastic individual with the ability to work as part of a team and will be able to develop technically within a busy working environment which will provide excellent practical experience.
Already computer literate, you will be a proficient user of technology with developed communication skills and an understanding of the importance of customer care.
You will help to ensure that the service continues to make a full contribution to the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of Bridgend County Borough and maintain the Council’s reputation for an excellent service in a highly competitive market.
The successful candidate will be based at the Civic Offices, Bridgend although there is sufficient scope for agile/hybrid working.
