We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Labourer/Groundworker to join our team. This role involves assisting with various groundworks and site preparation tasks, supporting construction or landscaping projects. Responsibilities
- Assisting with ground preparation, including digging, trenching, and levelling surfaces
- Moving materials, tools, and equipment around the site safely and efficiently
- Supporting team members with various manual tasks such as mixing materials or setting up scaffolding
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean and free from hazards at all times
- Assisting with site clearance and waste disposal in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Following instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks accurately and promptly
- Maintaining a high standard of safety awareness during all activities on site
Experience
- Previous experience in manual labour, groundworks, or related roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Good teamwork skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills
- Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
