Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and organised Business Administrator to join our team supporting our fireworks and drone light show businesses. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business through effective administrative support.

Duties

- Computerise data and maintain accurate records using our software systems

- Perform clerical tasks such as typing, filing, and data entry

- Provide administrative support to various departments

- Manage office operations and ensure efficiency

- Answer phones professionally and assist with inquiries

- Utilise Google Suite for documentation and communication

- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette in all interactions

- Assist in our retail shop serving customers and helping ensure its smooth running, including working in our shop 10am-4pm on some Saturday's each month with a day off in the week in lieu.

- Assist in the preparing setting up merchandising displays in our retail shop

Experience

The successful candidate should possess:

- Proven experience in an administrative or office support role

- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail

- Proficiency in using word proccesing and spreadsheets applications, and Google Suite

- Excellent data entry skills

- Familiarity with general office procedures and practices

- Ability to serve customers in our shop

Please note that due to the nature of our fireworks company, there are restrictions on annual leave during parts of September to November each year.

Star Fireworks is a successful local small business and winner of Bracknell Business of the Year, and can trace its roots back to 1971. We have a small full-time team of staff which you would join, supported by a team of display crew who work for us on our fireworks and drone show displays. Please note that the nature of this job is that there will be some lone working from time to time, for example during some meal breaks or when co-workers are committed working at event or with a client. The job would suit a sociable person to fit in with our team, but also someone who is able to work independently when needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 7 months

Pay: £24,500.00-£28,000.00 per year
