Full job description

About the Role

Grilko is looking for an experienced Chef to join our Back of House team. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy kitchen environment and is passionate about preparing high-quality food consistently.

You will be responsible for cooking, preparing, and presenting menu items to Grilko’s standards, maintaining excellent food hygiene, and supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen throughout lunch and dinner service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present menu items to specification and high-quality standards.
Work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
Follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and cooking methods as required.
Carry out daily and weekly food preparation based on the prep list.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
Complete detailed cleaning tasks according to weekly and monthly schedules.
Manage stock rotation, labelling, and food storage following food safety standards.
Assist with deliveries, stock checks, and reporting low stock when needed.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service and excellent customer satisfaction.
Follow all food hygiene (HACCP) and health & safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a busy kitchen environment.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow kitchen procedures.
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices (Level 2 Food Safety ideal).
