Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plantation Shutters and Blinds Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of window coverings, ensuring precise fitting and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Measure windows accurately to determine the correct size and fit of shutters and blinds
- Install plantation shutters, window blinds, and related fixtures using appropriate tools and techniques
- Ensure all installations are level, secure, and aesthetically pleasing
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, or installation instructions
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on product options
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment during and after installations
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment on-site
- Troubleshoot installation issues and adapt techniques as necessary to meet specifications
Skills
- Proven experience with construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or general building work
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, or installation guides
- Experience with roofing, plumbing, electrical work, welding, plastering, or construction painting is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good physical fitness to handle lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights safely
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
