Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Insulator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing insulation materials in various structures to enhance energy efficiency and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of building system, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The Insulator will work closely with other tradespeople, including carpenters to ensure that insulation is applied correctly and effectively.
Duties
- Install insulation materials in walls, ceilings, roofs, and floors according to specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics to determine insulation requirements for various projects.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and fit insulation materials.
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters and welders to ensure proper installation of insulation systems.
- Fabricate insulation components as needed for unique project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols.
- Conduct inspections of installed insulation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in insulation installation or related construction fields.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and masonry techniques
- Strong understanding of building systems and energy efficiency principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- A commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- CSCS card
- NVQ in loft insulation
