Group Premises Maintenance Technician
Full Time Permanent, All Year Round (37 hours per week)
Grade 4, Spinal Point 6, £25,989 Per annum (£13.47 per hour)

Overtime available where necessary. Occasional late-night finishes for school events
The successful candidate will provide efficient and effective maintenance and Janitor support to the South Staffordshire Learning Partnership schools (Bilbrook CE Middle School, Codsall Community High School, Lane Green First School, Perton Middle School & St Chads CE First School), including ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards.
The role will include; ·
- Responsibility for maintaining the school premises, buildings to a high standard, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
- Carrying out ground’s inspections, statutory compliance checks and keeping accurate records.
- Responding to emergencies such as burst or leaking pipes, including isolating water supplies and cleaning affected areas.
- Ensuring drains, gullies and external areas are clear, safe and well maintained.
- Undertaking minor repairs, maintenance and projects as required.
- Supporting portage duties, including the movement of furniture and equipment.
- Willing to undertake a minibus driving test and driving the school minibus when required for any educational visits and sporting events.
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous caretaking/site or maintenance experience preferred
- Practical skills across maintenance and repairs
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Reliable, proactive, and flexible approach
- Legal right to work in the UK
