Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be competent in TIG, MIG and MMA (Stick) welding and capable of producing high-quality welds on carbon steel, stainless steel and exotic alloys to company and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out TIG, MIG and MMA (Stick) welding on a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and exotic alloys.
- Produce high-quality butt welds and fillet welds in accordance with approved procedures.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication details and welding symbols.
- Work to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Prepare and fit-up components prior to welding where required.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the required standards.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a team and meet production schedules.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in TIG, MIG and MMA (Stick) welding.
- Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel and exotic alloys.
- Ability to produce high-quality butt and fillet welds.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and fabrication sketches.
- Good understanding of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Current welding qualifications/certifications.
- Experience working within a coded welding or pressure vessel environment.
- Forklift, overhead crane or lifting equipment experience.
