Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Approved Electrician/Supervisor to carry out electrical works as an approved electrician and to oversee electrical projects and ensure compliance with safety standards as our QS. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations and supervising electrical work, managing teams, and ensuring that all installations and repairs meet industry regulations. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on-site.
- To carry out day to day electrical installations as an approved electrician but also to act as a QS for the company .
- Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out electrical tasks efficiently and safely.
- Inspect electrical systems and components to identify faults or hazards.
- Provide guidance and support to junior electricians and apprentices.
- Plan work schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress of projects.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety procedures throughout all operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspections, and compliance records.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician with a valid electrical licence or certification recognised in the UK.
- Demonstrable experience in supervising electrical teams or projects.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, etc., as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Strong electrical experience covering installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Knowledge of current electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671 Wiring Regulations).
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in electrical work and leadership capabilities to ensure safe, efficient project execution across all tasks undertaken.
Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
