Laser Machine Operator – Job DescriptionOverview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Laser Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting equipment to produce precise acrylic components and products. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in laser machinery, production environments, and assembly work, who are looking to develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Working Schedule
- 5 working days per week (Monday to Saturday)
- 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- One day off per week will be agreed and discussed during the trial period
- Saturday is a required working day due to business demand
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines in line with production requirements and specifications
- Prepare and position acrylic materials accurately for processing
- Monitor machine performance during operation and make adjustments to maintain optimal output
- Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality, precision, and compliance with specifications
- Use hand tools and equipment to assist with finishing, assembly, and product preparation as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Accurately record production data and promptly report any issues or discrepancies
- Assist with general shop duties and serve customers when required
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines, which are critical to our business operations
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Experience operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurement and adjustments
- Familiarity with hand tools and general workshop practices
- Practical understanding of assembly and quality control processes
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members
- Creative and motivated mindset, with the ability to contribute ideas for designing and producing new products
- Basic shop knowledge and the ability to assist and serve customers when needed
