Princess & Character Performer
Pay: £20–£25 per hour

Location: Bookings primarily within 15 miles of the DY8 postcode, with occasional travel beyond this area
Schedule: Flexible hours, with regular weekend availability essential
Travel: A fuel contribution is provided for bookings more than 15 miles from DY8

About the role
Do you love performing, singing and creating magical moments for children?
My Little Teepee & Co. is looking for a confident, enthusiastic and talented Princess & Character Performer to join our team on a freelance, part-time basis.
You’ll bring well-loved princess characters to life at children’s parties, special occasions, creating enchanting and memorable experiences for children and their families.
Bookings take place on different days and at varying times; however, weekends are our busiest and most popular working days. Applicants must therefore be regularly available on Saturdays and Sundays.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging princess visits in person
- Perform confidently in character using a variety of accents
- Sing live as part of performances
- Interact warmly and professionally with children, families and customers
- Create fun, magical and memorable experiences
- Prepare for each booking and work confidently using your own initiative
- Travel to bookings in and around the DY8 area, with occasional travel further afield
Essential requirements
Applicants must:
- Have previous performance experience
- Have previous experience working with children
- Be a confident and competent singer
- Be versatile and comfortable performing different accents
- Have an enthusiastic, friendly and engaging personality
- Be reliable, professional and well organised
- Communicate confidently with children and adults
- Build excellent relationships with customers
- Be regularly available at weekends
- Have access to suitable transport and be able to travel to different venues
- Hold a current enhanced DBS certificate
