Company Overview
Birkdale Homes UK Ltd is a small, privately operated care home dedicated to supporting individuals with mental health issues and/or dementia. Established in 2011, the home is highly regarded by both professionals and the local community for its compassionate care and supportive environment.

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure the smooth operation and safety of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Your expertise will help create a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff alike.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and tests of the facility and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
Perform basic repairs involving , plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals
Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring quality standards are met
Decorating as required
General DIY
Completion of Maintenance logs as per the standard's

Experience

Proven experience in facilities maintenance
The ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams
DIY experience
Clear communication in English are essential
