Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and professional Private Hire Drivers to provide safe and efficient transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to navigate urban environments confidently. This role will be mainly weekend and evening work, mostly airport transfers. We do not offer short taxi journeys to our clients.

Duties

Safely operate private hire vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations promptly and courteously
Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, ensuring it is presentable at all times
Assist passengers with luggage or other belongings as needed
Follow planned routes or adapt to real-time traffic conditions for timely arrivals
Complete all necessary documentation related to trips accurately and efficiently
Conduct routine vehicle checks, including oil levels, tyre pressure, and general maintenance needs
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

Valid Hackney Carriage badge and valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Be located close to the Thame (OX9) area
Proven experience as a driver, ideally within private hire or similar sectors such as delivery driving
Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling luggage
Strong communication skills (polite and clear English) to interact professionally with clients and team members
Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and navigation tools
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge for routine checks
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage schedules efficiently
Ability to work flexible hours, mainly evenings and weekends

No owner drivers please - we supply car and fuel etc.

This role is ideal for individuals committed to providing outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

Hackney Carriage Licence (required)
