Position: Wedding Event Supervisor (WES)
Department: Operations
Reports to: Wedding & Events Manager (WEM), Operations Manager (OM)
Role Purpose
The Wedding Event Supervisor (WES) supports the successful delivery of weddings and events, ensuring that every detail is executed to the highest standard. Acting as the key operational lead during events, you will manage the front-of-house team, uphold brand standards, and ensure seamless communication across all departments.
This is a flexible role with a minimum of 100 hours per month, offering a mixture of daytime and late close shifts, requiring a proactive and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the business.
You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, taking ownership of event execution, particularly during evening service, and ensuring all operations run smoothly in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Event Delivery
- Assist the WEM/OM with all on-the-day preparations for weddings and events.
- Take responsibility during the evening, ensuring continuity when the WEM hands over.
- Act as the primary contact for the couple and guests during the event, managing expectations and delivering exceptional service.
- Oversee bar operations, including tabs, stock levels, and end-of-day reporting.
- Ensure post-event tasks, checklists, and preparations for upcoming functions are completed.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, motivate, and support the front-of-house team during weddings and events.
- Support the training and development of team members to ensure consistent service standards.
- Lead by example to promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive working environment.
Standards & Communication
- Uphold brand values and maintain the highest standards of service and presentation.
- Maintain strong communication with the WEM, OM, Sales, Kitchen, and Planning teams.
- Ensure all relevant handovers and reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Strictly adhere to company health & safety, hygiene, and licensing requirements.
Guest Experience
- Deliver outstanding guest experiences by anticipating needs and solving problems promptly.
- Ensure all guests feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated throughout their event.
- Represent the venue professionally at Taste Experiences, Open Days, Showcases, and other client-facing occasions.
