Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Technician who will work both independently and as part of a team to support the safe and compliant production of finished drinks to required quality standards. The role involves working with all areas of the factory to improve efficiency and reduce process loss. The successful candidate will also challenge deviations from standards at every opportunity, contributing to a team culture of continuous improvement and unrelenting pursuit of excellence.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

Maintain a strong health and safety culture within the Quality function.
Act as a role model for all colleagues by continually complying with the standards.
Escalate any potential issues that pose a risk to food safety or product quality to site management.
Update and maintain quality records to ensure the site is compliant with all relevant regulatory and third party standards.
Enable the site to be “Always Audit Ready” by contributing to a culture of compliance where:
- Manufacturing GMP Standards are always maintained.
- Manufacturing records are accurately completed in real time.
- Processes and procedures, including in-process quality checks are followed rigorously to deliver consistent quality products.

Support delivery of site requirements across H&S, Quality, People, Delivery and Cost.
Carry out internal audits/inspections in accordance with agreed schedules and collaborate with team leaders to resolve any identified issues.
Monitor the sites strict microbiological requirements for finished products and plant hygiene.
Carry out the release of finished products in accordance with internal procedures.
Assist in investigations of key customer/consumer complaints to determine root cause and contribute to subsequent corrective actions.
Work collaboratively with all areas of the manufacturing process to proactively raise/resolve issues that arise.
Manage laboratory systems and maintain document compliance.
Ensure compliance with external laboratory standards and close out audit non‑conformities.
Carry out additional duties as and when required that are relevant to the department and/or the site.

Experience/Qualifications

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a science discipline, or relevant experience within a Quality team.
Demonstrable experience of carrying out microbiological and chemical testing.
Knowledge of a drinks manufacturing operation is desirable.
Experience working with SOPs and managing controlled documentation.
Ability to manage laboratory systems and maintain compliance.
Skilled in investigating quality issues and supporting corrective actions.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
Self-driven with a positive and proactive approach.
Organised.
Flexible.
Results and solution-oriented.
