Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality care. This role is essential in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents in a healthcare or assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including long-term care, geriatrics, memory care, or acute care, and possess a strong commitment to patient-centered care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support and medical attention.

Duties

Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall condition, ensuring timely response to any changes
Provide personal care including hygiene, mobility assistance
Maintain accurate medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing specialized memory care techniques and behavioral health strategies
Respond promptly to emergency situations
Facilitate safe transfers and mobility using appropriate assistive devices and aseptic techniques
Communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient status, changes in condition, or concerns about infectious disease control
Ensure a clean and safe environment adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols
Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records and reports for ongoing care planning

Skills

Proven experience in healthcare environments
Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adults with disabilities, or behavioral health needs
Ability to handle complex cases involving dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or memory care needs with sensitivity and professionalism
Strong caregiving skills complemented by basic life support certification and understanding of HIPAA regulations
Capable of working independently during night shifts while maintaining excellent patient service standards
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and family members

This Care Assistant role is vital for providing continuous support that enhances the quality of life for residents while ensuring safety and compliance within healthcare standards. We seek committed professionals eager to contribute their expertise in a dynamic caregiving environment.

SHIFTS ARE 7AM-7PM 24/36 ON A FLEXI CONTRACT. PAID BREAKS.
