Full job description

Clerk of Works needed for a start ASAP. The project is a new build school project in Thurston. The position is for 2 days a week onsite, increasing to 3 days a week. These days can be flexible to fit into any other commitments you have. the project runs until February 2029.

The rate is £315 per day

Duties would include:

Inspection of all works to ensure they comply with contractors proposals, Client technical briefs and design drawing

Attending site meetings as required

Recording defective work and liaising with contractors to resolve issues

Carrying out final snagging of works

Completing site inspection reports weekly

Monitoring site progress against the construction programme

Assisting in checking valuations against works complete

Monitoring H&S onsite

A CSCS card is essential. You must also have MCABE or MCIOB. Membership of the ICWCI is preferable but not essential. Previous experience as a Clerk of Works is preferred. Other roles with similar inspection experience will be considered or also building control inspectors or construction site/project managers.
