At Avante Care & Support, mealtimes are about more than food—they’re moments of comfort, connection, and joy. As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll help create delicious, nutritious meals that brighten residents’ days while supporting a warm, welcoming dining experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

Prep fresh ingredients – fruits, vegetables, and more
Assist with meal preparation and support our Cook/Head Chef
Serve meals and ensure mealtimes are enjoyable for residents
Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe, and hygienic
Follow food hygiene, safety, and nutritional standards every day
Help plan menus with input from residents
Ensure high standards of care in line with Avante’s Eden Alternative Philosophy

About You

Environmental Health Certificate in Food Hygiene (essential)
Team player with a positive, flexible attitude
Experience in a similar role and/or City & Guilds qualification (desirable)
Passion for making meals that bring joy to others
