Salary: National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage (Dependent on age):
- Age 21 or over: £12.71 per hour
- Age 18 to 20: £10.85 per hour

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Trainee Pattern Cutter & Assembly Operative to join our production team immediately.
This is an entry-level, in-house trainee role. You will receive comprehensive, practical training to accurately cut raw materials (such as specialised fabrics, plastics, and foams) and assemble them into our premium finished covers. This is an exceptional opportunity to build a long-term technical trade within a niche, world-class industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Pattern Cutting: Learn to interpret technical drawings and precise templates to measure, mark, and cut specialized textiles using manual tools and cutting machinery.
- Assembly Work: Assemble cut components using industrial sewing techniques, hand tools, power tools, and bonding materials according to work specifications.
- Quality & Production: Inspect your work continuously to meet strict dimensional standards, ensuring the high-quality finish our premium automotive and motorsport clients expect.
- Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized workstation, following all factory health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be 18 or over due to health and safety regulations regarding the independent operation of factory machinery.
- Practical Mindset: Strong hand-eye coordination and a natural aptitude for precise, practical, hands-on tasks.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy when measuring and cutting materials to minimise waste and ensure perfect fitments.
- Personal Qualities: A reliable, punctual individual with a positive, proactive attitude and a strong desire to master a new skill.
- No previous manufacturing experience is required as full training is provided, though any background in textiles, assembly, or factory production is an advantage.
