Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Specification Consultant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing expert guidance on product specifications, ensuring client requirements are met with precision and clarity. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your organisational, communication, and technical skills within a collaborative environment. The Specification Consultant will be responsible for engaging with clients, delivering compelling presentations, and maintaining detailed documentation to support project success.

Responsibilities & KPIs:

Successful delivery of CPD’s
Serve as a trusted advisor to specifiers - provide project specific advice on product specifications
Specification Development – Assist specifiers in developing detailed product specifications that align with industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Report on any project updates and review the project pipeline
Ability to communicate effectively to build rapport and develop relationships
Continuous Improvement- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements and best practices to accurately support specifiers.
Oversee calendar and actively book meetings
Be proactive with building relationships and specification opportunities
Identify and protect specification value at risk
Maintain accurate CRM/project data for all specified projects
Own pipeline hygiene (stage, value and next action)
1 day at the HQ per Month
1 day in an office & 4 days on the road per week

KPI’s

1 x CPD per day
At least 3 x visits per day
Hit individual & team specification target per month
Hit MSI weekly target

Qualifications/Experience:

Construction Industry knowledge. Experience in a technical role within construction, presenting CPD’s
Experience in a customer facing role providing technical advice.
People skills and managing a team
Training courses will be provided where appropriate and the candidate would be expected to be willing to accept this is to facilitate progressing within the company.
Proven experience in a consultancy or technical role specialising in specifications or product development.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building lasting client relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud services is desirable.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
