About Us

M&M Meats are a family run business established in 1984 (celebrating over 40 years in business) situated in the heart of Worcester City centre.

We are looking to recruit a full-time senior butcher to help in our busy high street shop. This is a permanent position with a salary starting at £28,000 (possibly more subject to experience and successful 3 month trial period)

Holiday entitlement of 20 days plus bank holidays.

Hours 5 days a week Monday - Saturday (day off in the week, day to be agreed) NO SUNDAY OR BANK HOLIDAY WORK.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of meat products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the butcher area
- Provide excellent friendly and knowledgeable customer service and assist customers with meat selection and where necessary provide recommendations
- Operate and maintain butcher equipment and tools
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with other staff to meet production needs

Skills:
- Previous butchery experience ESSENTIAL
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Experience in meat cutting, trimming, and portioning techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of different cuts of meat and their uses in culinary preparations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Being able to drive or having reliable transport to get to work for an early morning start (5.30am) is required.
