Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Powerfloater & Polisher to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring smooth and high-quality finishes, and maintaining safety standards on site. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction-related trades to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for those who enjoy hands-on work and working outdoors.

Duties

Operate power floaters and polishers to achieve smooth concrete surfaces in commercial and residential settings
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and applying finishing techniques
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to perform concrete finishing tasks
Assist with the installation of formwork and reinforcement as needed
Conduct routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance
Follow health and safety protocols at all times during operations
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Assist with other construction duties such as carpentry, masonry, or roofing tasks when required

Requirements

Proven experience in concrete finishing, polishing, or related trades preferred
Knowledge of welding, carpentry, masonry, or roofing is advantageous
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised machinery safely and effectively
Mechanical knowledge relevant to maintaining equipment used in concrete finishing processes
Heavy lifting capability required for handling materials and equipment on site
Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties preferred but not essential
Physical fitness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
